De Zee naar Harderwijk

"De Zee naar Harderwijk" is an art project by Luna and Kristin Maurer for hospital St Jansdal in Harderwijk (Netherlands) by order of Stichting Kunst en Openbare Ruimte, SKOR.

A camera and sound setup at the Oosterscheldekering in Zeeland gives a year long 24 hour per day experience of the sea. Every five minutes the camera takes a high quality snapshot. These images, 288 per day, can be seen in the online archive of this website. The background of the website shows the most recently taken snapshot.

The sea is filmed for patients of the St Jansdal hospital, who can watch the live feed from their beds. » more information
