Technical information
On the roof of the central operating building of the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management in Zeeland (Ir. J.W. Topshuis) an Axis 214 camera has been placed in a special outdoor housing in north-north-western direction. Since May 19, 2008 this is used to film the sea. A directional microphone in an outdoor housing records the sounds of the sea.

The online archive has been a growing database by 288 images per day since May 19, 2008, which can be accessed in different ways.

This entire project has been implemented and installed by @xit (Breda, Netherlands), who also hosts and manages this website. @xit is an ICT company that, among other things, specializes in camera (security) solutions (including the development of software), often on locations where a network infrastructure isn't readily available, and has applied her knowledge for projects for Dutch railway infrastructure company ProRail, high velocity railway infrastructure company Infraspeed and many more.
